I’m Bjorn Schmal, a wedding videographer and filmmaker based on Tamborine Mountain, working across the Gold Coast and beyond. With more than a decade of experience capturing weddings, I bring a calm presence, a considered eye and a personal approach to every commission.

The wedding films I craft offer a sense of how I see a wedding: the setting and its atmosphere, the moments shared between people, and the words that give the story meaning.

Before your wedding, we’ll talk about your plans, the people closest to you and what you would most like to remember. Those conversations help me understand where to give my attention and how to approach your celebration.

The Gold Coast offers extraordinary variety for a wedding, from coastal celebrations to private properties and hinterland estates. Based on Tamborine Mountain, I work across the region and understand how much the setting, light and timing can shape your film.
During planning, we can discuss where filming fits naturally into your day, allowing time to enjoy your surroundings without spending your celebration watching the clock. For weddings further afield, travel can be considered as part of your individual proposal.
